Steve is 100% PNW, born and raised in Washington to immigrants who wanted their kids to experience its culture and to adventure in the natural environment. By seven years old his mother put him on a ski bus and trodded Steve through creeks and up trails with her botanist friends plant hunting. Steve’s love for the mountains began there and continued after college living aboard a sailboat working as a carpenter and as a ski patroller in the winters. More than 3 decades later, Steve has worked as an avalanche professional for, Stevens Pass, Mission Ridge, The Pettigrew foundation, WSDOT, NWAC, NWMS, and BCAG as a ski patroller, avalanche mitigator, avalanche Instructor and as a design build contractor. These days the winter environment feed his soul and his love sharing them and helping others have these experiences and reach their goals.
