#tbt #thirstythursday Back to some of the best years of skiing in La Grave of the French Alps. The best part of it all wasn’t just the skiing though. It was the hours spent huddled around the table and reliving the day. Après-ski is the time when we celebrate what it means to be sharing the mountain with friends, the icing on the cake feeling of “it doesn’t get much better than this.” We’d even liken it to Oreos and milk, they forever go together in that classic combination. We like to keep the traditions of Snoqualmie/DruBru, Crystal/Snorting Elk, and Baker/Chair Nine- and now, we’re craving the mile high nachos at the Elk.

#worldwidewednesday - The cold weather has us thinking about the best of both worlds: tropical glaciers in Equador with our guide Pablo @goandestrek Puruncajas. Aside from being an IFMGA guide and one of the nicest guys on the planet, Pablo is a close friend of 16 years. He’s also held the title as one of Ecuador’s sport climbing champions, the first to ski all the Ecuadorian volcanoes with several first descents, as well as guided around the world!
Our South American trip travels through the vanishing glaciers in the Andes Ring of Fire. It’s only a short matter of time before they’re predicted to be gone in 10-15 years. Check out the video of the 20,702 ft Chimborazo as well as Cotopaxi and Cayambe! •

On this #techtiptuesday, our friend John Godino shows how you can “view [real time] snow levels on your route” using Google Earth and #noaa. He also shows how to overlay your anticipated track! A great resource for anytime of the year. Link in bio.
